Abstract
Summary: In addition, I tested the impact of this low flow disturbance on food-chain length and examined the effects for resource availability, resource quality, and associated ecosystem functions. I saw few shifts in these measures as a result of lowered flow and suggest that habitat heterogeneity and food web complexity buffer the effect of low flow disturbance on food-chain length and stream ecosystem functioning.
