Abstract
The article features Parsippany, New Jersey-based Solix Inc., a private outsourcing firm that offers management process solutions with emphasis on eligibility determinations and fund administration. It says that the firm, owned by 186 U.S. telephone companies, is growing because of the savings they create in outsourcing money for cash-strapped states. It adds that of the company's biggest client is the U.S. Federal government which spends billions of dollars to subsidize the telephone and Internet bills for schools, libraries and health care programs.
