Abstract
THE reclusive Paul Raymond, who died on Sunday aged 82, collected cutlery as well as Soho properties and top-shelf magazines. THE deeply dissatisfied owner of a flat in builder St George's Imperial Wharf development in Fulham has been bombarding the company, and it seems the entire British media, with his complaints about workmanship for so long that most recipients divert the emails to the junk folder. APPLE is taking root in Covent Garden. Last Friday's news that the US iPod maker is to turf the Rock Garden Café out of its 25,000 sq ft space and settle in will please the owner of the Lakeside shopping centre in Thurrock no end. IT emerged this week that £3 million or so has been squandered on lawyers' bills in a fruitless fight over a six-acre site the Olympic organisers wanted for the 2012 Games. THERE was momentary confusion last week over the planned three-way split of Land Securities. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
