Abstract
The author comments on the stock market condition of South Africa. The author notes the effect of inflation on the increasing concerns about future interest rate moves. The CPIX, which excludes interest payments on mortgage bonds, jumped to 10.9% year-per-year in May, pushing it further away from the South African Reserve Bank 3%-6% target. The author also mentions the increasing pipeline price pressures.
