Abstract
The article discusses the evolution of the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, designed to migrate from SDI to IP and enhance scalability in broadcast environments. It introduces IPMX, a pro AV industry standard based on ST 2110, which offers more flexibility and compatibility, allowing broadcasters to integrate non-native broadcast signals and gradually transition to full ST 2110 experiences while retaining the benefits of IPMX equipment.
