Abstract
The document consists of two letters exchanged between Trygve J. B. Hoff and Ragnar Frisch in 1941. Hoff expresses his disagreement with Frisch's support for a planned economy, arguing that it would hinder the goal of a free culture. Hoff believes that a planned economy leads to concentration of power and the suppression of criticism, citing examples from totalitarian states. Frisch responds by defending the importance of freedom of expression while acknowledging the need for some level of economic regulation. [Extracted from the article]
