Abstract
The article discusses the response to the comment stressed by professor Peter Dixon about the report published by the Australian Productivity Commission on automotive assistance. The report entitled "Modeling Economy-Wide Effects of Future Automotive Assistance" discusses the modeling of assistance options for the automotive industry to enhance the consultancy reports. Dixon argues that reducing the tariff on imported passenger motor vehicles will lessen the country's economic welfare.
