Abstract
The article discusses the response of the regulators to the fall of Silicon Bank Valley (SBV) in March 2023. Topics include investigations opened by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission on the collapse, possible reason that U.S. President Joe Biden has been reluctant to consider bailout, and the step taken by federal authorities to guarantee all deposits at SVB and open a broader emergency lending program.
