Abstract
The article discusses the impact of drug prices on health care costs in Canada. The authors describe that evidence indicate that on average, Canadian prices for patented drugs are not rising at an unsustainable rate. Average prices for patented drugs have grown at a slower pace than the general rate of inflation, and are even increasing slower than they are allowed to grow under federal price controls.
