Abstract
The author discusses the "employer brand gap" between the opportunities an employer presents to an employee and the employee's experience regarding the daily fulfillment of opportunity promises. She argues that providing employees with opportunities can increase employee motivation. Demonstrations of progress, communication, and opportunities outside of promotions are emphasized.
