Abstract
Chresten Bruun, the general manager of the Lego Factory in Nyíregyháza, won the Expat CEO of the Year title at the Budapest Business Journal's annual awards gala. Bruun expressed his gratitude for the recognition and emphasized that the award is not just for him, but for the entire expat community in Hungary and the employees at the Lego Factory. He also praised the expat CEO community in Hungary, describing it as a unique and supportive community. Looking ahead, Bruun plans to continue nurturing the company culture and expanding operations in Hungary, with a focus on sustainability. However, he also highlighted challenges such as inflation, geopolitical risks, and the need for skilled workers. Despite these challenges, Bruun sees opportunities in the positive business environment created by local authorities, the government, and other business partners in Hungary. Bruun also acknowledged the competence of the two runners-up for the award and expressed his respect for their achievements. [Extracted from the article]
