Bank of America Corp. and Jive Investments have been purchasing local bonds from struggling Brazilian fertilizer maker Unigel Participacoes SA in the secondary market. This comes after Unigel presented its plan for an out-of-court restructuring. However, some local creditors are considering legal measures to contest the plan, as it could result in significant losses for them. International bondholders have supported the restructuring plan, but local creditors have criticized it.
