Abstract
The article presents management tips to alfalfa farmers in northern California whose fields have turned into seas of standing water after seasonal heavy rains. Alfalfa is subject to water damage during floods and the extent of damage depends upon temperature, drainage, alfalfa growth status and the duration of flooding.
