Abstract
The article focuses on the need for certified public accountant (CPA) firms, that support banks or credit unions, to know the budget of their clients allocated to technology vendors. Topics include information about core platform vendor contracts hosted at the vendor sites and their renewals managed by chief financial officers (CFO), third party expenses being high non-interest expenses for community banks, and the reasons for CFOs to overpay their vendors rather than negotiating.
