Abstract
The article focuses on whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can be recognized as an inventor under U.S. patent law. Topics include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) ruling that AI systems cannot be considered inventors, the use of AI systems in various fields such as biomedical research and drug development, and legal frameworks will need to be developed for handling inventions generated by AI systems without human assistance.
