The article presents information on the book "Untnerbmung und Unternsebmungsformen im Spötmitteialter und der beginnenden Neuzeit." The authors interpret geography as a science dealing with the conditions under which human beings live. They have presented their subject matter in a couple and readable style. The use of technical terms and discussion of topics of only professional interest have been avoided. Introductory chapters covering a fifth of the book set out the general conditions which determine human habitation. About equal emphasis is given to water power mineral resources in their relation to industrial civilization.
