Abstract
The article focuses on quality problems associated with the testing of the feeders that power the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It indicates that losing electric power at a sporting event can bring intense post-outrage scrutiny from different organizations. It outlines several approaches for preventing the dropout of high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting system including contracting for premium power and installing an interruptible power supply (UPS) on the lighting system.
