Abstract
The Federal Highway Administration defines a road safety audit (RSA) as the formal safety performance examination of an existing or future road or intersection by an independent, multidisciplinary team. The use of RSAs by local and state organisations has made significant progress in recent years. With particular focus on the state of Ohio, this paper highlights recent developments and illustrates diverse applications of RSAs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
