Abstract
The author reflects on the adoption of the "Report and Order," by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), clarifying that the wireless carriers must meet FCC wireless E911 location accuracy requirements at the public-safety answering point level. The author stresses about the perspective of National Emergency Number Association, which stated that the rules adopted have set a reasonable compliance deadline with meaningful benchmarks to ensure measurable progress is made.
