Abstract
The article presents the author's opinion on the issue of low percentage of women choosing careers in information technology (IT). It is estimated that the amount of women working in IT is around 10-15% of the total workforce. The author feels that more women need to be encouraged into IT careers so the industry can pick from the best of both genders. He thinks that schools and colleges need to make all students aware of their career prospects and what jobs in IT involve and what they can offer.
