Abstract
The article features the micropulse laser technology (MLT) and its use in reducing intraocular pressure (IOP). It mentions the evolution of laser trabeculoplasty which include the development of argon laser trabeculoplasty, selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and MLT. It discusses the dynamics of MLT, its initial use as treatment for diabetic macular edema (DME) and its concept of transitioning the efficacy of ALT while avoiding thermal damage.
