Abstract
The article offers information on the role of the laboratory in making sure of appropriate testing. It says that there are an acceptance that a vital proportion of diagnostic testing may not be appropriate and can be harmful due to the flow on effects. It states that laboratory profession is recognizing the importance of their role in assurin appropriate test selection and interpretation of results.
