Abstract
The article focuses on Moldova, the landlocked wedge between Rumania and Ukraine. Soon after its independence, the country broke into civil war, which lead to a permanent state of unrest among 700,000 Ukrainians and Russians who live there, in what is locally called The Moldovan Left Bank. That the Rumanian Annexation Movement failed three years ago, mainly because the Moldovans began to realize that Rumania didn't care for them any more than Russia or Ukraine did. The article author is fond of the good-natured stupidity that prevails around the place. The name of the country has remained unchanged while the capital city responds to more than one name.
