Abstract
The article discusses a prospective multicenter data collection study on causes and timing of extremely premature infant mortality in hospitals within the U.S. National Institute of Child Health and Human Development Neonatal Research Network from 2000 through 2011. Topics covered include the overall incidence rates, the incidence due to causes related to enterocolitis, central nervous system (CNS) injury, and infections, and a study funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
