Abstract
The article discusses a study related to flanking of mcr-2 in the IncX4 plasmid pKP37-BE by directly oriented copies of ISEc69. Topics discussed include ISEc69 containing a gene encoding a protein with the highest amino acid identified for transposasing of the IS1016 group from the IS1595 family, shorter PAP2-like protein from pKP87-BE than the PAP-2 protein associated with mcr-1 and Paenibacillus, a species that produces polymyxins, as closest matches to MCR-1.
