Abstract
The author comments on a letter to editor by Arielle Silverman which described the results of a systematic review of social skills interventions. Cited are the lasting importance of empowering social skills development in children and youths, the difficulty of facilitating social skills in children with visual impairments, and the crucial role that adults play in developing the social skills of students.
