Abstract
The article focuses on research to prevent Ebola virus disease (EVD). Topics discussed include challenges to care for patients with EVD due to lack of disposable needles and lancets, protective equipment like gloves in high-level containment centers (HLCCs), a report on mortality rates due to EVD provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), and use of single molecule real-time sequencing for investigating viral DNA samples.
