Abstract
Corticosteroids are the mainstay of therapy for ES for those who require treatment. Engraftment syndrome (ES) refers to a constellation of signs and symptoms experienced by a patient due to proinflammatory cytokines released during neutrophil recovery following autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. A 12-year-old male with a malignant pineal germ-cell tumor was admitted for high-dose etoposide and thiotepa treatment, followed by an autologous stem cell rescue. [Extracted from the article]
