Abstract
The article investigates the risk of significant pathology from atypical glandular cell (AGC) Pap tests classified by the 2001 Bethesda system and examines potential differences in AGC management practices between physician specialties. AGC cytology confers a risk of either preinvasive disease or carcinoma, with the risk of carcinoma escalating for women aged older than 40. Compliance with suggested AGC management guidelines is critical to pinpoint underlying malignancies.
