Illuminating sub-GeV dark matter with neutrino beams.

Abstract
We discuss the sensitivity of long-baseline neutrino facillities, such as T2K and MINOS, and the short-baseline experiment MiniBooNE, to light sub-GeV dark matter produced in the target along with neutrinos. Elastic scattering of sub-GeV dark matter in the near detector could be observable over the neutrino neutral current background, providing new direct detection sensitivity in this low mass range for classes of dark matter candidates, e.g. those interacting via the vector portal.
