Abstract
The article describes the case of life-threatening Takayasu arteritis in a 22-year-old woman from India. Topics discussed include the medical history of the patient such as one-month history of fever, weight loss, left arm claudication, central chest pain and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnoea, complication posed by inflammatory myocarditis to the patient, and use of prednisolone and cyclophosphamide in treating life-threatening disease in Takayasu arteritis.
