Abstract
This article discusses the discrepancy between two non-invasive tests, transient elastography (TE) and endoscopic ultrasound elastography (EUS-E), in assessing liver stiffness in morbidly obese patients. The study found a weak correlation between TE and EUS-E, with TE overestimating liver fibrosis. EUS-E was found to have stronger agreement with other scoring systems. The authors suggest that EUS-E can provide a more accurate assessment of liver stiffness in severely obese patients, but further validation is needed. [Extracted from the article]
