Abstract
The article presents the author's suggestions on the diet of a person for pain-free living. Refined carbohydrates, sodas, and processed foods containing high-fructose and trans-fat should be avoided as they set off a metabolic chain reaction in the body that leads to unhealthy elevations in blood sugar, insulin, cortisol, cytokines, and free radicals. To regulate metabolism, the right kinds of fats, and brightly colored fruits and vegetables containing antioxidants, should be consumed.
