Abstract
Bronchopleural fistula after pneumonectomy is a dreaded complication, because of its high morbidity and mortality. We describe a successful technique using closed-chest irrigation of the pleural cavity continued with transposition of a latissimus dorsi island flap. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
