Abstract
Braking is one of essential subsystem of the vehicle where braking system is used to decelerate and stop the vehicle. In this project braking system was designed for an electric two-wheeler based on the industrial Requirement. Before a few decades drum brakes were used in the vehicle after the adaptation of modern technology like Antilocking Braking system, efficiency of braking got improved. In braking system disc plate place a major role. The disc plate should withstand the heat generates during braking. Thermal behaviour of the Disc was studied using Finite Elemental Analysis. After continuous braking the temperature of Disc plate increases it may cause failure so the temperature of Disc plate should be limited using cooling techniques. The braking force was calculated based on that calliper and master cylinder was selected for the vehicle such that achieved braking force should be above the required braking force.
