Abstract
For each PACBIS domain, we applied the Kruskal-Wallis test to compare the scores according to preoperative anxiety (mYPAS for children and VAS Anx for parents) and the occurrence of ED (PAED scale). In the recovery room, ED was assessed using the Pediatric Anesthesia Emergence Delirium (PAED) scale until 15 minutes after awakening. Preoperative anxiety, poor compliance during anesthesia induction, and negative interactions between parents, their children, and healthcare providers might be correlated with emergence delirium (ED) and other postoperative cognitive changes.[1] In 2010, Sadhasivam et al.[2] revised the Perioperative Adult and Child Behavioral Interaction Scale (PACBIS).
