Abstract
CO2 is fixed in a rare μ2-ηO,O² bridging mode by bi-layered coordination networks of ZnTCPP tessellated along the four equatorial directions by [Pr2Na3(NO3)(H2O)3]8+ connecting clusters in a 2 : 1 ratio (1), but not in the isomorphous free-base porphyrin analogue [(TCPPH2)2(Pr2Na3(NO3)(H2O)3)]n (2), revealing the crucial role of the zinc metal in this process.
