Abstract
The article presents a study on the use of multimodal endovascular therapy to explore the safety, technique and clinical effectiveness of carotid cavernous fistula (CCF) treatment. The researchers reviewed cases of intracranial arteriovenous malformations treated endovascular at the Medical College of Wisconsin. They found that polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) particles, Onyx glues and n-butylcyanoacrylate (n-BCA) are the main embolization materials that can treat CCF.
