Abstract
The article offers information on a study conducted by Iris Udasin, and colleagues, on the features of obstructive sleep apnea with aerodigestive symptoms, in the responders of the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program (WTCMMTP). It states that there was no correlation between body mass index (BMI) or weight, with Apnea and Hypopnea Index. It mentions that responders with worsening of snoring after the disaster, had lower BMI, as compared to habitual snorers.
