Abstract
The article discusses a February 23-26, 2019 meeting of the legislative assembly of the United Methodist Church (UMC) to discuss policies about the marriage and ordination of LGBTQ people. Topics include a Connectional Conference Plan for church reorganization, a One Church Plan for revising the UMC Book of Discipline, and plans by the conservative group Wesleyan Covenant Association to possibly form a new denomination.
