The author comments on the molecular imaging of the major neurodegenerative disorders. He says that the field of imaging of neuroinflammation has evolved using multidisciplinary techniques and skills. He refers to a recent paper by A.F. Santillo et al. exploring the role of inflammation in neurodegenerative disease. Chronic neuroinflammation is associated with several neurodegenerative diseases, such as spinal muscular atrophy, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and so on.
