Abstract
The article presents a report from a MArch 23-25, 2015 conference in Bern, Switzerland on the history of the symbolism and use of water in the Middle Ages hosted by the medieval studies association Mediävistenverband e. V. Topics of presentations included the history of the management of droughts and floods, the use of the Winchester Pipe Rolls in climate history research, and the historical role of water in the growth of Venice, Italy.
