Abstract
The article focuses on the interaction of glycosylated derivatives of indolocarbazole with DNA. The adsorption isotherm of pyrrolo 3,4-c carbazole-5,7-dione (AK-1006) molecules on DNA has two absorption maxima at 285 and 320 nanometer. The adsorption isotherms for AK-1006 complexes on DNA signifies that all molecules of bound ligand are intercalated into the double helix. Gene activation has decreased at high concentration using the DNA-binding compounds such as cytosar.
