Abstract
Evaluates the seroprevalence of antibodies against hepatitis A virus (HAV) in a sample of school children above ten years of age and determines the prevalence of HAV-induced hepatitis in adults at a tertiary care hospital in northern India between January 1992 and December 2000. Prevalence of anti-HAV bodies in various age groups; Lack of a need for mass HAV vaccination.
