Abstract
The article discusses a study which investigates the regional distribution of white matter (WM) and grey matter (GM) atrophy in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients. Magnetic resonance imaging and voxel-based morphometry (SPM8) were used to obtain the data from 78 RRMS patients and 88 controls. It reveals the distinct regional distribution of GM and VM in RRMS patients, in which disease duration, gender, and disability affect the topography of WM/GM atrophy.
