Examines the cloning and functional expression of human retinal inwardly rectifying potassium 2.4 (hKir2.4) channel genes. Effect of the hydrogen-ion concentration on the hKir2.4 currents; Presence of the Kir transcripts only in the retina; Possibility of hereditary retinal disease due to mutations in Kir2.4.
