Abstract
The article focuses on the findings of the study which is related to treatment effects of simvastatin, fenofibrate or their combination in patients with type II diabetes and mixed dyslipidemia. The treatment effects include the reductions in inflammatory biomarkers high sensitivity C-reactive protein and lipoprotein-associated phospholipase. The proposed mechanism for biomarker-lowering effect include the anti-inflammatory effect and inhibition of hepatic C-reactive protein synthesis.
