Abstract
The article offers information on aviation ridesharing startups. Topics discussed include views of Steve Lewis, founder of website AirPooler, on the company, Lewis being aware of private pilots' concern of AirPooler's participation be seen as violation of aviation regulations regarding commercial operations, letters to AirPooler and Flytenow by the Federal Aviation Administration explaining violations caused by the company, shutting down of AirPooler and air pooling website Flytenow.
