Abstract
The authors describe an algorithm-driven fourth generation multi-theory model (MTM) for alcohol and drug education. Topics covered include application of MTM to a variety of health behaviors in a variety of target populations, the loop of participatory dialogue that establishes the advantages of behavior change over any potential disadvantages, and the trinity loop of practice for change, emotional transformation, and changes in social environment.
