Abstract
Several letters to the editor are presented in response to articles in previous issues including the practice of subtracting 2 kilograms in weighing lambs at livestock marts, the slaughter policy by Great Britain's chief scientific adviser David King to prevent foot-and-mouth disease and the delays in granting farmers with their single farm payment by the Rural Payments Agency.
